Mr. Williams is the CFO for the nationally known outdoor brand, Drake. This brand can be found everywhere with the cleverly designed duck head on all kinds of outdoor items and apparel.

Long before Mr. Williams moved into the position of CFO with this incredibly successful company, he was being groomed to handle life and all that it can throw at you. As Kevin describes in his interview, he is from a small town that you can’t get to from here.

This simple life style that required genuine work ethic and honest humility; combined with a tremendous mentor, his grandfather, was the perfect combination to build amazing life skills.

You will hear in Mr. William’s voice his passionate appreciation and love for his grandfather, or “paw” as he calls him. Mr. Williams story serves as a great reminder of how impactful we can be in someone’s life when we show them love, kindness, and patience. His paw’s confidence in Kevin’s abilities and persistent encouragement to get him to “just try” paid off as the years went by.

Mr. William’s humble beginnings, stories of his paw building a solid life foundation, and Mr. William’s work ethic, combined with great focus, is a story all should hear.

I truly believe that we all have a purpose on this earth, and for those lucky few who adhere to that calling, the sky can be the limit. It’s been said that when you do what love, you never work a day.
This week’s guest knew from a very early age that he was drawn to dump trucks. He shares how he had this epiphany when as a child he saw a dump truck for the first time. However, Robert did what many of us do in life. He took the sure thing at first, becoming a craps dealer at the casino. While this was a steady income with above-average pay, Robert couldn’t help but think back to how he always wanted to drive a dump truck. He talks about how he finally threw caution to the wind and pursued that dream of driving a dump truck. This led him to eventually own his own company and making 10’s of thousands of dollars a week. Then he lost everything after an unfortunate accident and considered giving up.
During his time away from trucking, Robert took up building flying machines. This didn’t last forever because after some time away, he rekindled that passion when he got insurance, and now he is back and better than ever. This entrepreneur ran for Congress; he is an inventor and a dream chaser! Believe me when I say his story will blow you away!

My first guest to lead off this series happens to be a family friend and owner of Mrs. Hippie Eats. Knowing the Ries’s prior to her journey of owning her first brick-and-mortar, Lady Bugg Bakery, gave me the unique position of having seen some of her ups and downs. Heather explains how growing up, she had a lot of family influence in the cooking industry, which helped her to cultivate a love and passion for cooking.
Heather describes some of her vulnerabilities as it applies to running a business and how scary it was taking that first step, regardless of how confident she may have been in her talent. If you have ever dreamed of owning your own business or exploring the idea of pursuing a dream, you will most certainly want to listen to this hard-working, dream-chasing mother of triplets. The loss of her first business due to COVID shutdowns couldn’t keep this mother of three from picking up the pieces and blazing a new path.

My third and final guest in my series on overcomers is a former student of mine
and current firefighter/paramedic for the Shelby County fire department.

Nick was diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome at the age of 5.  Fearing the
difficulties he may face in public schools, Nick’s parents opted to home school.
Nick’s parents were very supportive and tried to seek help to better manage his
tics.

After years of therapists and medications not helping, Nick had capitulated to the
idea that he would never be able to function like other people.  He tells his story
of how he had learned to lean on his condition as the reason why he wasn’t
capable of doing different things. However, his father always told him “the only
thing holding you back is your attitude.”

This statement finally rang true to Nick when he embarked on a back country trip
involving white water rafting, hiking, and overall outdoor survival at the age of 18.
Being placed in real survival situations that required him to complete the task,
helped Nick to realize that it truly was his attitude that had always been holding
him back. I know that you will enjoy his story and maybe even find an inner
strength that you never knew you possessed.

It has been said that, “It takes a village to raise a child.”  The idea behind this
saying is simply, we are stronger together.  Like any startup company or business,
growth takes time and hard work.

After a series of unfortunate events like guests needing to reschedule, family
vacations and myself coming down with the dreaded COVID, we found ourselves
without an episode for today.

Call it coincidence or destiny, either way, I had come to a crossroads with my
podcast.  Being completely self-funded for more than two years I’ve worked
diligently to build name recognition and produce a product that was both
beneficial and inspiring to my listeners.

I am now facing some uncertainty for the future of my podcast for financial
reasons.  This being said, I would like to encourage others to join my mission and
help Coach Camp stay on the air.  I am able to offer advertising and commercials
for businesses and will list team members on my website.  You can help by
donations or by becoming an official sponsor of “Motivate with Coach Camp”.

My second guest in this series is one of the most mature and intelligent 16 year
old’s that I have ever had the pleasure of meeting.  Drew, as he prefers to go by,
was born an average kid, from a very loving family and he had no real worries to
life.

From birth to the age of 10 Drew had been an athletic kid, that loved playing
sports and spending time with family and friends.  Having never faced any real
adversity in his life, Drew had no idea just how strong he and his family really
were, and just how much that strength would be tested.

Drew walks us through how an exciting family trip to Disney World in 2016 would
suddenly alter the life he and his family had known and how his normal, average
life would quickly become truly an inspirational story.

Drew articulates his diagnosis of his leg deformities and his extensive surgeries
and rehab that ultimately led him grow up fast and work incredibly hard to dispel
the presumption that he would have trouble walking and never be able to run
again.

If ever there was a story that could give you the courage and hope to face the
future when things are suddenly altered, this is the story.

My first guest, in my series about people that have overcome great adversity and
incredible odds to make a difficult situation inspiring, is truly amazing.

Mr. Hardison is a retired firefighter from Senatobia, MS and his difficult road
began when he responded to a working house fire on September 5, 2001.  As a
firefighter/paramedic myself, I can tell you that his story definitely hit home.

Firefighters understand and accept that there are certain dangers and
uncertainties that go hand in hand with the job.  This understanding doesn’t mean
that they look for any special treatment or recognition.  It simply means that, as a
firefighter, you must find a way to acknowledge the potential consequences and
still act without hesitation when a moment calls for it.

Running into a burning structure is counterintuitive for most people, but as a
firefighter you must be willing to go against those natural urges to go in the
opposite direction when things get difficult.

Tune in to hear how Pat Hardison answered that call and paid a difficult price
when the roof caved in and forced Pat to find an inner strength that most people
could not imagine, as he became the first person on earth to receive a full face
transplant.  One of Pat’s mantra’s is, “You must keep hope alive!”.

If you or someone you know would like to help firefighters and their families, you
may want to check out, The National Fallen Firefighters Foundation, First
Responders Children’s Foundation, National Volunteer Fire Council or the Tunnels

Nonprofit organizations are often formed out of a need that is found, a passion
that is kindled from within and a love that can only come from your heart.  This
week’s episode is a glowing example of what it looks like when you open up your
heart by opening up your home.

My guest Dr Jessica Cox and Ms. Ann Lunsford share their stories of how they
found a love and a calling to help women transitioning from prison back to society.

Dr Cox is a beloved orthodontist in Hernando that found herself reflecting on how
she had been blessed in her life and wanted to use her good fortune to bless
others.  She shares with us how a trip to the local jail lit a fire within her to help
women leaving prison.  This reality suddenly materialized when she crossed paths
with Ms. Lunsford, a longtime evangelist to incarcerated women.

Hearing their story and seeing how God truly does work in mysterious ways, will
leave you feeling full of joy and hope.  These two women have made a huge
difference in so many women’s lives and I hope hearing their story will encourage
others to take action where they see a need.

become a part of their mission you can reach out to them at email

In our second episode highlighting nonprofits, I have had the genuine pleasure of
actually participating in a few of the events hosted by this amazing organization.
The organization is called, The Hope Center Community Center of North
Mississippi, and is headed up by CEO and Co-Founder Mr. Kenneth McKinney and
COO and Co-Founder Mr. Stacy Dodd.

Mr. Dodd had actually been a guest of mine on my first series ever produced, and
he shared with my audience his troubled past and how all of his perils in life had
equipped him to have a powerful impact on others through his story and his
strong belief in Christ.

On this episode I not only had the honor of interviewing Mr. Dodd again, but he
brought along two very special guest from the Hope Center.  Mentee’s as well as
siblings, Ms. Racquel “Rocky” Studenski 16 and Mr. Rex Vanek 12.  This was a
pleasant surprise to have two young people so engaged with trying to help others
and stepping up to be peer mentors.

Tune in to hear how our three guest are working to grow this organization and the
dream and vision they have for its future.  The Hope Center is doing big things in
our community and I hope you will find this episode to be both inspiring and
motivating, and please check out below how you can contribute or even be a part
of this amazing organization.  This is a much needed message for our youth today.

What an amazing organization and founder to kick off the first episode
highlighting nonprofits.  John Mitchell is a military veteran, a
firefighter/paramedic/EMS lieutenant for Shelby County fire, founder of “Blessed
Men of God, and a dear friend.

Mr. Mitchell has always had a heart to serve and has spent his entire life giving
back to others.  Coming from humble means himself, he has held on to the
memories of what it means to appreciate those things you have instead of
focusing on those things you don’t have.

Many of us will come across needs throughout our life, but the unfortunate reality
is, most of us will never act on those needs. Some may feel intimidated because
they are not sure where to start, others may feel like their time and effort
wouldn’t make a difference.  The truth is, taking up the needs of others and facing
these understandable concerns requires a deep faith that you are being called to
take action.

John shares with us where his concern and love for the underprivileged led him to
start his nonprofit to help the homeless and impoverished communities.  You will
find his story and his passion to help others infectious.  If you wish to help his
mission or maybe volunteer for upcoming events, you can reach John by his cell
