Nonprofit Episode 1 – Founder of, Blessed Men of God Resource Center, “Where We Care” - John Mitchell

What an amazing organization and founder to kick off the first episode 

highlighting nonprofits.  John Mitchell is a military veteran, a 

firefighter/paramedic/EMS lieutenant for Shelby County fire, founder of “Blessed 

Men of God, and a dear friend. 

 

Mr. Mitchell has always had a heart to serve and has spent his entire life giving 

back to others.  Coming from humble means himself, he has held on to the 

memories of what it means to appreciate those things you have instead of 

focusing on those things you don’t have. 

 

Many of us will come across needs throughout our life, but the unfortunate reality 

is, most of us will never act on those needs. Some may feel intimidated because 

they are not sure where to start, others may feel like their time and effort 

wouldn’t make a difference.  The truth is, taking up the needs of others and facing 

these understandable concerns requires a deep faith that you are being called to 

take action. 

 

John shares with us where his concern and love for the underprivileged led him to 

start his nonprofit to help the homeless and impoverished communities.  You will
